Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Professional to join our team at the ASC Treatment Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to individuals facing major mental illnesses.

Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site monitoring, care, and supervision to mentally ill residents, assisting in the development and implementation of individualized client needs and service plans.
  • Help implement the schedule of residents and respond helpfully to their problems and needs, providing emotional support and encouragement.
  • Supervise residents in taking medications, as per physician instructions, and ensure compliance with house rules and regulations.
  • Provide crisis intervention and perform timely care procedures, as needed.
  • Assist with organizing and supervising group recreational, social, and cultural activities and outings.
  • Provide modeling and instruction for residents in daily living skills, such as personal care, interpersonal relations, domestic skills, and utilizing community resources.
  • Transport residents for group outings and participate in staff meetings and training activities, as required.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 18 years old, with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of experience providing services to the mentally ill or other populations is required.
  • American Sign Language (ASL) proficiency is strongly considered but not necessary.
  • Valid California driver's license, reliable automobile, and good driving history, as demonstrated by DMV record check.
  • Be in good health, and be physically, mentally, and occupationally capable of performing duties, as verified by recent health screening & TB tests.
  • Be of good character and have no criminal record, other than minor traffic violations, as verified by fingerprinting and criminal background checks.
