Position Summary

As a vital member of The Pet Sitter of Boise, LLC, you will provide attentive care for pets in clients' residences. Your responsibilities may include feeding, exercising, playing, grooming, walking, and administering medications as per client instructions.

Visits typically last 30 or 60 minutes, tailored to the preferences of each client. Additionally, we offer overnight care and house-sitting services, which consist of 12-hour visits. Compensation ranges from $16 to $20 per hour, plus tips.

Key Responsibilities

  • Feed pets according to client guidelines, ensuring fresh water is available at each visit, and perform clean-up duties.
  • Engage in play and exercise with pets, including dog walking and administering medications as needed.
  • Utilize a specialized mobile application to communicate with clients, providing updates, photos, and summaries of each visit.
  • Conduct visits in clients' homes, adhering to scheduled durations of 30 minutes, 60 minutes, or overnight stays.
  • Work independently while collaborating with a team of pet sitters to meet client needs.
  • Maintain consistent availability during agreed-upon times, adapting to the fluctuating demands of our clients.

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • A genuine love for all animals.
  • Access to a functional smartphone with location services and GPS capabilities.
  • Experience in pet care, whether through personal or professional experience.
  • Ability to manage leashed dogs weighing up to 80 pounds and navigate various terrains.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Capability to walk dogs for extended periods, typically 2-4 hours.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, as clients may purchase pet supplies in bulk.
  • A valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and a clean driving record.
  • Agreement to a non-compete/non-solicitation clause.
