Financial Specialist Opportunity

TEAM Inc., a non-profit social service agency, is seeking a skilled Financial Specialist to join our team. This full-time position is responsible for assisting with accounting functions in a grant-funded environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and analyses.
  • Maintain complete files for grants and contracts.
  • Monitor third-party billings and expenditures, revenues, and budgets for inconsistencies.
  • Process bi-weekly payroll, including time and attendance, pension uploads, DOL reporting, and database maintenance.
  • Develop ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed.
  • Assist with month-end cost allocations and coordinate approvals of monthly employee benefit invoices.
  • Prepare quarterly payroll tax reconciliations.
  • Support month-end closing activities and prepare month-end reconciliations.
  • Provide IT Helpdesk administration and assist auditors during audit periods.
  • Aid in the development and implementation of written policies and procedures and internal systems and processes.
Requirements:
  • AA/AS in Accounting or equivalent accounting experience with 4+ years of experience in automated accounting systems (fund accounting preferred).
  • Experience with automated payroll systems (100+ employees).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to set up and maintain systems.
