We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Donor Technician to join our team at Freedom Plasma. As a Medical Donor Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our donors, while also contributing to the success of our plasma donation program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough medical screenings of donors to ensure their eligibility for plasma donation
  • Administer finger sticks to test donors for hematocrit and total protein levels
  • Monitor the donor management system to ensure accurate and timely data entry
  • Provide education and counseling to donors on donation risks and benefits
  • Collaborate with the Center Medical Director and other team members to ensure seamless operations
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum one year of work experience preferred
  • Active licensure or certification as a State Licensed EMT I, Basic, Advanced, or Paramedic
  • CPR certification required
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent leaning, bending, and reaching. The typical work environment is moderate noise level, with occasional exposure to freezing temperatures. Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is also a possibility.
