Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team. As a Counselor, you will play a critical role in saving the lives of our patients by providing counseling services, including individual, family, and group therapy sessions, and promoting a supportive environment for long-term recovery.

Responsibilities
  • Assess the counseling needs of clients and develop personalized treatment plans
  • Conduct substance abuse assessments and develop discharge/continuum of care plans
  • Document all counseling and education services, assessments, and follow-up in client records
  • Provide coordination of support services for clients and families
  • Facilitate interventions for crisis-oriented issues using a multi-disciplinary team approach
Requirements
  • CDCA (Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant) or higher certification in Ohio
  • One year (2,000 hours) of chemical dependency counseling-related work experience or supervised internship
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a behavioral science or related field and LCDC III certification
