Responsibilities:
• Independently perform laboratory procedures and testing on patients of all ages using professional knowledge of laboratory procedures.
• Execute, interpret, and analyze laboratory results in an accurate and timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent required, plus sufficient college and/or technical school courses and clinical training to satisfy certification requirements.
• 8-10 years of experience as a Medical Technologist, with a strong background in laboratory procedures and testing.
• Certification as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist by an approved certifying agency, such as ASCP, AMT, or AAB.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Biomedical Science, or a related field.
• One year of supervised clinical experience as a Medical Technologist in a clinical setting.
• Competency in areas of the laboratory being covered, including chemistry, hematology, coagulation, blood bank, and microbiology.
