Electrical Estimator Job Description

As an Electrical Estimator at Watt Acquisition, LLC, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our projects. Your expertise will help us maintain and enhance our reputation for quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop accurate and competitive project bids by analyzing project specifications and drawings.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, vendors, and engineers to assemble comprehensive and competitive bids.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and standards in the construction industry to enhance bid accuracy and competitiveness.
  • Maintain and update our internal cost database and estimators to reflect current market trends and prices.
  • Engage in post-bid meetings and participate in contract negotiations as required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years in electrical estimating, with a proven track record of accuracy and success.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or Certified Construction Estimator (CCE) are advantageous.
Preferred Skills:
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, materials, and codes.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office and Accubid.
  • Familiarity with project management principles and techniques.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Working Environment:

Requires sitting for long periods. May occasionally work beyond posted work hours as well as work overtime due to demand. Travel to job sites occasionally for job walks 20-40%.
