Role Summary:

The Warehouse Associate plays a crucial role in managing inventory effectively through precise receiving and picking of products, along with executing various warehouse operations. This position is essential for maintaining seamless warehouse functionality and ensuring high standards of inventory accuracy. Adherence to safety protocols is paramount to maintain a secure working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Picking:

  • Efficiently select items from inventory according to pick lists and orders.
  • Ensure accurate labeling and preparation of items for shipment.
  • Safely operate warehouse machinery, including forklifts and pallet jacks.

Receiving:

  • Process incoming shipments and confirm the accuracy of delivery documentation.
  • Inspect products for any damage and report inconsistencies to the Warehouse Lead.
  • Store received goods in their designated locations properly.

Inventory Management:

  • Maintain precise records of inventory transactions.
  • Ensure proper labeling and organization of all inventory items.

General Warehouse Duties:

  • Keep the warehouse environment clean and organized.
  • Assist with loading and unloading of trucks as necessary.
  • Follow safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
  • Collaborate with fellow warehouse staff to meet operational objectives.
  • Engage in team meetings and contribute to initiatives aimed at process enhancement.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by the Warehouse Lead.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Prior experience in a warehouse setting is preferred.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Basic computer skills for reporting and warehouse management systems.

Work Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to read and write at a high school graduate level.
  • Capability to lift and move heavy items up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to sit, stand, lift, and bend for extended periods.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Ability to operate various office equipment (e.g., personal computer, telephone, fax machine, copier, etc.).
  • Willingness to work normal and/or extended hours to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to travel independently as needed for company objectives and personal development.
