Diesel Mechanic

Prestige Fleet Services is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a mobile diesel technician, you will be responsible for performing repairs and inspections on a variety of Class 6-8 trucks and trailers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform complex repairs and diagnostics on truck engines, brakes, A/C systems, electrical systems, and other components.
  • Schedule and oversee all maintenance procedures, including preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
  • Repair or replace vehicle/trailer components as needed.
  • Manage inventory on the service truck and obtain parts from local vendors.
  • Accurately complete DOT forms and all other documentation in a timely fashion.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of diesel repair experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours, including weekends and holidays when needed.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Self-motivated with excellent planning skills and ability to utilize a computer/tablet for electronic processing of work orders.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time (1-2 hours).
  • Estimated salary: $34-$44 per hour, depending on experience.
