Job Summary:

The Deli Clerk provides exceptional service when greeting and assisting customers at the deli counter, on the sales floor, and on the phone. Preparation, production, and cleaning are also key aspects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers promptly, answering questions, and assisting with purchases.
  • Product Preparation: Package, wrap, price, and merchandise Deli Department products.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain product knowledge of deli case items: cold salads, dips, lunchmeats, cheeses, etc.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Maintain general sanitation practices, food safety practices, and food storage practices according to store and health department standards. Cleaning duties include sweeping, mopping, cleaning surfaces, washing dishes, and more.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare most cold salads, dips, and grab-n-go items, including but not limited to: pasta salads, potato salads, coleslaw, tuna salad, grab-n-go pizzas, lettuce salads, sandwiches, wraps, and dips.
  • Cafe and Party Trays: Produce some cafe/grab-n-go entrees and party trays.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely and effectively operate equipment such as slicers, steamers, fryers, rotisserie ovens, combi-ovens, smokers, and knives.
  • Inventory Management: Put away stock in areas such as the cooler, freezer, and dry stock shelves while rotating product and maintaining organized stock areas.
Work Schedule:

We are looking to fill closing shift positions. The typical shifts will be between 1-9pm (Monday-Saturday) and/or 12-8pm (Sunday).
