About the Position

  • Provide high-quality Radiologic care to patients for diagnostic and treatment purposes, adhering to the highest standards of patient safety and care.
  • Assist in various areas of the Diagnostic Imaging Department, including CT and X-ray scanning, to ensure seamless patient flow and efficient department operations.
  • Administer contrast to patients following established imaging protocols, ensuring accurate and reliable diagnostic results.
  • Adhere to ethical standards and ALARA principles for radiation safety, minimizing exposure and promoting a safe working environment.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, providing clear and concise information to ensure informed decision-making.
  • Participate in continuing education activities and in-service training to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Radiologic technology and patient care.

Educational Requirements

A minimum of a two-year Radiologic Technology Training Program is required for this position.

Licensure and Certifications

  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists is mandatory.
  • A West Virginia State License is also required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is necessary for this role.
