UNC Health is seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
About the Role:We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Cardiac Sonographer to provide high-quality cardiac ultrasound services to our patients. As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing cardiac ultrasound procedures, interpreting images, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
Responsibilities:- Perform cardiac ultrasound procedures, including echocardiograms and vascular studies
- Interpret images and provide accurate diagnoses
- Collaborate with healthcare teams, including cardiologists, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals
- Ensure equipment is calibrated and properly maintained
- Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives
- Associate's degree in Sonography, Radiology, or a related field
- Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- Minimum one year of experience in an acute hospital setting
