Telecom Underground Foreman Job Description

As a Telecom Underground Foreman at Star Construction, LLC, you will lead crews in the installation and maintenance of underground telecommunication systems. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget, while maintaining a safe working environment for your team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead crews to meet project timelines and ensure all work is completed to the highest standards.
  • Help with the training of crew members to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Read and understand blueprints to ensure that all work is completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Help ensure that all team members are following company safety policies, OSHA, and DOT regulations.
  • Assist the Supervisor with day-to-day activities and provide support as needed.
  • Communicate with property owners to discuss work to be performed and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Safely operate heavy equipment and machinery to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Work in all weather conditions and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years old and have authorization to work in the United States for this company.
  • Have a valid driver's license and a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Have at least three years of related work experience and previous Foreman experience is preferred.

Physical Abilities and Exposures:

  • Routinely work alone in remote locations and in confined spaces with arms above shoulder level, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds.
  • Occasionally use a ladder, keyboard, and mouse.

Salary Range: $22.00 to $28.00 per hour (based on experience)
