Job Summary
The Oncology Nurse Navigator (ONN) plays a vital role in providing individualized guidance to patients, families, and caregivers during their complex cancer journey. Using oncology-specific clinical knowledge, the ONN assesses patient needs and provides education and resources to facilitate appropriate and timely quality health and psychosocial care throughout all phases of the cancer continuum.
Main Responsibilities
- Participate in day-to-day operations of the program, including patient education and call triage.
- Participate in QA/QI projects for the program.
- Deliver expert clinical care through evidenced-based practice partnerships with patients, families, and colleagues.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A baccalaureate degree in nursing within 4 years of hire.
- Minimum of 1 year (or equivalent) of oncology nursing experience.
- Certification in Oncology Nursing, OCN, AOCN, or CPON preferred.
