Position Overview
The Housekeeper plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the facility, ensuring a pleasant environment for residents and staff alike.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily cleaning of resident rooms and bathrooms as per assigned schedules.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of resident spaces in alignment with individual preferences.
- Perform routine cleaning of common areas including:
   - Tub/Shower rooms
   - Offices
   - Kitchen
   - Day rooms
   - Activity rooms
   - Halls and lobby
   - Utility rooms
   - Nurses stations
   - Linen areas
- Treat all residents with dignity and respect while fulfilling cleaning duties.
- Communicate courteously and cooperatively with residents and facility personnel.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and safety procedures established by the facility.
- Secure cleaning supplies in designated areas unless in immediate use.
- Report maintenance needs to the Housekeeping Supervisor promptly.
- Assist with additional housekeeping tasks as directed by the Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Participate in major cleaning projects as requested.
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous housekeeping experience in a long-term care or institutional setting is advantageous.

Additional Information
- Attendance at in-service education and staff meetings is required.
