Job Summary

Gilbane Building Company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Scheduler to join our team. As a Senior Scheduler, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining all levels of schedules, including proposals, preconstruction, and detailed construction schedules.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to work with a top-10 ENR contractor and contribute to the success of our projects. You will have the chance to work on complex projects, collaborate with experienced teams, and develop your skills in project management software, including Primavera P6.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and control all scheduling data through project management software (Primavera P6)
  • Instruct others or make presentations regarding CPM methods and concepts
  • Supervise staff on a large project to ensure that all scheduling responsibilities are completed
  • Lead planning efforts with project personnel to determine phasing and logistic options
  • Prepare CPM scenarios for management consideration and incorporate final approach into a complete CPM schedule
  • Evaluate schedules and updates prepared by others and make recommendations as to their completeness, accuracy, and representation as to project status
  • Forecast schedule and costs influencers
  • Communicate with Owner to assure Customer Satisfaction or implement corrective action when needed
  • Perform schedule and delay analysis and present recommendations to management
  • Ensure that project teams are aware of and properly respond to risks relative to schedule and delay
  • Provide oversight and notification to management of any concerns regarding contract notice, delay, and proper documentation of project schedules
  • Execute multiple duties and responsibilities efficiently
  • Write all forms of professional correspondence
  • Participate in formal proposals and interviews for prospective projects
  • Accurately document schedule basis in narrative identifying critical assumptions for internal use, GMPs, and Owner documentation
  • Document delay and claim issues

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering, Architecture, or related field
  • 5-10 years relevant experience
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
