We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality patient care in our outpatient orthopedic setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hand therapy and be certified as a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT).

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Evaluating patient treatment programs in coordination with the medical staff;
  • Creating treatment plans in accordance with instructions and consent of referring physician;
  • Providing services that help improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities of patients;
  • Fabricating custom-made splints, and communicating with the physician to ensure the patient receives the correct splint;
  • Supervising the technicians or aides to ensure any interaction with any patient is within their scope of practice;
  • Meets or communicates regularly with a variety of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and case managers to ensure successful patient treatment outcomes;
  • Documents evaluative findings, treatments administered, the assessment of patient response to treatment and treatment plan, and other relevant information;
  • Provides excellent customer service engaging in the use of clear, comprehensive, and frequent communication with patients, family members, or other members of the rehab team;
  • Educates patients in the prevention of injuries, conditioning, and rehabilitation of injuries
