We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Conservation Expert to join our team at the WV Department of Agriculture. In this role, you will play a critical part in promoting sustainable agricultural practices and protecting the environment in West Virginia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement site-specific nutrient management plans for farmers.
  • Work closely with agricultural producers to understand their specific needs and develop tailored plans.
  • Provide training and education on nutrient management best practices to farmers and other stakeholders.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in agriculture, natural resources management, environmental science, soil science, agronomy, or a related field.
  • Five years of full-time paid experience in agriculture, forestry, environmental sciences, or other land and natural resource management fields.
  • Certification by the West Virginia Department of Agriculture as a Certified Nutrient Management Planner is required prior to employment.
Estimated Salary Range

$70,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
