Position Details for Maintenance Mechanic:
  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, with shifts ranging from 8 to 10 hours.
  • Compensation: $35.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities of the Maintenance Mechanic:
  • Execute tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Manager while fostering positive relationships within the team and community.
  • Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical malfunctions in machinery.
  • Plan repair tasks utilizing schematics or equipment manuals as necessary.
  • Conduct general repairs, including various mechanical tasks.
  • Perform routine maintenance on material transfer systems.
  • Engage in welding, fabrication, and metal repairs for equipment.
  • Procure and manage necessary supplies and materials for maintenance activities.
  • Identify and resolve issues in electrical systems, PLC controls, and mechanical systems.
  • Ensure the upkeep of production machinery and related systems.

Qualifications for the Maintenance Mechanic:
  • A minimum of three years of experience in production maintenance.
  • Proficiency with electrical circuits ranging from 12 volts to 480 volts.
  • At least three years of experience in maintaining process control systems.
  • Bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish) are advantageous.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Vocational diploma or equivalent education/training, or a combination of education and experience.

Work Environment for the Maintenance Mechanic:
  • Occasional lifting and carrying of items up to 75 pounds.
  • Regular movement around factory and laboratory equipment.
  • Job duties may involve sitting, standing, walking, lifting, and bending.
  • Exposure to various conditions, including heat, cold, and chemical fumes.
  • Eye and hearing protection is mandatory.
  • Steel-toed footwear is required on the manufacturing and warehouse floor.
  • Must be able to operate a forklift or be willing to undergo training within two weeks of employment.
