Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Woodwork Specialist to join our team at The Maintenance Doctor. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, wallboard, and laminate.

The ideal candidate will have strong working knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods, including installation and construction. You will work closely with our project manager and building team to deliver high-quality results on time.

Salary: $65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
  • Taking precise measurements and calculating the quantities of materials needed for each project
  • Cutting, shaping, and smoothing lumber and other materials according to specifications
  • Building window frames, doors, staircases, decks, and other structures using raw materials or pre-constructed items
  • Installing trim, siding, cabinets, drywall, subflooring, and insulation
  • Conducting regular inspections and performing repairs or maintenance as needed
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; completion of a carpentry program at a vocational school or carpentry apprenticeship is preferred
  • No less than 5 years of professional carpentry experience is highly valued
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Proficient in using electrical and hand tools, as well as measurement tools
  • Must have own transportation and basic carpentry tools
  • Good physical condition, stamina, and dexterity
