Job Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in the Labor and Delivery unit, including assessing patients' physical and emotional needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Administer medications, perform medical procedures, and use medical equipment as needed to provide safe and effective patient care.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, track progress, and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices, new technologies, and emerging trends in Labor and Delivery nursing.
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in the state of practice
- Experience in Labor and Delivery nursing, preferably in a travel or per diem setting
- Strong clinical skills, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations and healthcare teams
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
