We are seeking a skilled Activities Therapist to join our team at Sharon Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our behavioral health unit, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive group treatment curriculum to promote patient well-being and recovery.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and adhere to unit schedules to provide daily group and individual activities based on sensory, art therapy, music therapy, or other accepted modalities.
- Schedule, train, and oversee the implementation of group curriculum by other disciplines working on the units.
- Provide feedback to other disciplines as needed to meet the goals of the group topics and activities utilized.
- Establish a therapeutic relationship with assigned patients and maintain a therapeutic environment in the behavioral health unit.
- Meet individually with assigned patients and facilitate group intervention.
- Document patient activities and interactions.
- Bachelor's degree in a health-related field.
- Crisis Management training.
- Clearances as required by law.
- BLS.
- Occupational Therapist-OT-A/OT-R preferred.
- Medical.
- Dental.
