Key Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering comprehensive patient care by utilizing the nursing process. This includes conducting thorough data collection and assessments, identifying and prioritizing patient needs, and evaluating the effectiveness of nursing interventions. The nurse will also coordinate and direct patient education activities while collaborating with the healthcare team.
Core Duties
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, analyze data, develop care plans, implement treatments, and evaluate their effectiveness.
- Administer medications safely in accordance with state regulations and organizational policies.
- Act as the primary contact for coordinating patient care across various hospital departments.
- Advocate for patient safety by engaging in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Integrate the professional practice model into daily care delivery.
Required Skills
- Thorough understanding of contemporary nursing practices and emerging innovations.
- Ability to apply nursing judgment and skills based on scientific principles.
- Proficient in the nursing process for effective patient care delivery.
- Skilled in coordinating patient care and evaluating nursing practices to achieve optimal outcomes.

- Familiarity with clinical technologies and office systems.

Qualifications
- BLS Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association (preferred).
- Valid nursing license in the state of practice (required).
- Associate Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing (required).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred).
