Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm and Security Systems Technician to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, programming, testing, and troubleshooting new Conventional and Addressable Fire Alarm Systems and other related building systems products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and program new Conventional and Addressable Fire Alarm Systems and other related building systems products
  • Test and troubleshoot system issues to ensure optimal performance
  • Organize and utilize technical resources, information, material, and support to assure efficient execution of all assigned tasks
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics, and operation/product manuals
  • Perform physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 40 pounds
Requirements
  • 3-5 years' related experience in Fire Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, Nurse Call & Security Systems
  • Knowledge of major fire alarm equipment brands a plus, such as Notifier, Simplex Fire systems
  • Proficient in the use of personal computers including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, and database (software) programs
  • Ability to lift equipment and tools up to 50lbs
  • Ability to work flexible hours depending on the needs of the customer
  • Ability to travel overnight as needed approximately 10%
