Job Description:

As a Heavy Duty Truck Operator, you will safely operate a heavy-duty truck to perform assigned duties on transfer routes. You will adhere to Occupational and Safety Health Act (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements, as well as all local, state, and federal regulations. Your primary responsibilities include:
  • Performing pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles using standard DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report)
  • Immediately reporting any unsafe situations or service calls to Route Manager or Dispatch before attempting service
  • Participating and cooperating in all scheduled training, briefings, and meetings as required by Route Manager
  • Working closely with Route Managers to improve route efficiencies and identify problem or unsafe accounts

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you must have:
  • A valid Commercial Drivers License B (CDL)
  • No prior work experience required, but an acceptable driving record is necessary
  • Be at least 18 years old
