Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Dietary Aide to join our team at the Centerville Care and Rehab Center. As a key member of our culinary staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional dining experiences for our residents.

Estimated Salary: $40,000 - $55,000 per year

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing meals according to our cycle menu and modifications breakdown. This includes thawing meat, preparing meals, and maintaining high standards of following sanitary procedures.

In addition to meal preparation, you will assist in the establishment of standardized recipes and portion sizes, ensuring that all food is served consistently and to the highest quality standards.

As a Dietary Aide, you will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of work areas and equipment in our safe, clean, and well-ventilated kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure proper preparation, portioning, and serving of foods according to standardized recipes
  • Assist in cleaning, sweeping, kitchen, and dining area
  • Set up steam line and assure proper tray assembly for mealtimes
  • Assist in receiving and stocking groceries and supplies
  • Supervise all dietary employees in the absence of the dietary manager
Working Conditions

This role requires you to be in good mental and physical condition, with the ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, and walk intermittently throughout the workday.

You must also have the ability to lift and carry objects when necessary, as well as hand dexterity to prepare food.

Requirements
  • Ability to read, write, follow written and oral orders
  • Related food service experience desirable
