Job Details
This is a Full-Time position with 40 hours per week.
The successful candidate will work closely with our Cafe's back of house team to ensure the bakery's production schedule is met.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, bake, and decorate from scratch breads, bars, muffins, cookies, pies, cakes, pastries, and specialty chocolate confectionaries for our guests
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment, cases, and counter ensuring all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines are met
- Collaborate with Hotel Chef & Beverage Manager on bakery preparation and execution for special functions
Requirements
- Technical Degree or equivalent work experience
- Degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts preferred
- Minimum 2 years of related work experience, pastry cooking or pastry chef experience with high volume food production
- Ability to obtain ServSafe and State Food Handler Certification
- Strong listening, communication, and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Ability to multi-task and problem solve
- Ability to work flexible scheduling including early morning, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
