Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our multi-disciplinary team in California. As a Speech-Language Pathologist at Cortica, you will play a critical role in helping us achieve our mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish speech and language treatment goals through dynamic and standardized assessment tools.
  • Consult closely with multi-disciplinary team members to create collaborative treatment plans and integrative strategies.
  • Provide individual therapy sessions as well as group and/or co-treats with other disciplines as therapeutically appropriate.
  • Maintain patient records, documentation, and appropriate billing in accordance with federal and state regulations and company policy to ensure excellent standard of care.
  • Provide play-based and goal-based interventions to develop receptive and expressive language skills while considering an individual's sensory processing, regulation, and motor differences.
  • Facilitate functional and stimulating experiences to target and achieve individualized goals.
  • Devise strategies and supports to help the individual engage in communication experiences across settings.
  • Collaborate with the individual and family to understand their values, interests, and goals.
  • Implement programming that considers all aspects of the child, inclusive of, but not limited to: sensorimotor, cognitive, communicative, recreational, and social activities.
  • Contribute to program development.
  • Educate patients, families, team members, and caregivers on home programs that complement treatment.
Requirements
  • A master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Licensure to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of California or willingness to obtain licensure.
  • Excellent clinical skills.
  • A desire to work in a multi-disciplinary clinical setting.
  • Flexibility and openness to learning.
  • An appreciation for a wide range of therapeutic approaches.
  • A passion for working with children.
  • Occasional physical demands, including standing, walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, with reasonable accommodations made for individuals with disabilities.
  • Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 40 pounds.
Compensation and Benefits
  • A $2,000 annual continuing education stipend.
  • Competitive compensation, ranging from $87,377 to $109,222 depending on experience.
  • A $10,000 bonus in the first year, paid in four equal installments of $2,500.
  • An SLPA supervision stipend of $700 per month per full-time SLPA.
