We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in Council, ID.
Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per yearJob DescriptionA special education teacher will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of students with diverse learning needs.
This role requires creating an inclusive and supportive educational environment that fosters growth and development. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Adapting and modifying curriculum materials and teaching methods to meet student needs.
- Collaborating with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff for effective integration.
- Assessing students' abilities and progress through formal and informal assessments.
- Providing a safe and positive learning environment encouraging student engagement and success.
- Communicating regularly with parents and guardians about student progress and addressing concerns.
- Participating in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in special education.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid state teaching certification in Special Education.
- Proven experience working with students with special needs.
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Patient, creative, and genuinely passionate about working with children with diverse learning needs.
