Position Overview
DPS Group LLC is seeking an experienced Electrical Department Manager to oversee our electrical engineering operations. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in the Laboratory and Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology sectors, coupled with strong leadership skills.

Core Responsibilities
  • Lead the recruitment, development, and management of the electrical design team.
  • Oversee site master planning, conceptual designs, and preliminary engineering phases, ensuring thorough supervision of detailed design stages.
  • Deliver technical guidance and innovative solutions to both the electrical department and clients.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior engineering personnel.
  • Contribute to the establishment of departmental systems, procedures, standards, and knowledge management practices.
  • Engage in project proposal preparation, man-hour estimation, and client presentations.
  • Participate in industry conferences, contribute to publications, and stay informed on emerging industry trends and technologies.
  • Design and implement programs aimed at resolving existing or potential electrical engineering challenges while enhancing plant performance.
  • Offer technical support to operations teams in addressing complex electrical system issues.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in Laboratory, Biotechnology, and pharmaceutical engineering facility design and construction.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Thorough understanding of switchgear design, low, medium, and high voltage systems, and single line diagrams.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal capabilities.
  • Proficient analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Advanced organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing project safety, quality, and delivery.
  • Involvement in project engineering coordination activities.
  • Results-oriented with strong communication, listening, and collaborative skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Navisworks.
