Energy Trader

We are seeking a skilled Energy Trader to join our team at Energy Transfer Equity. As an Energy Trader, you will be responsible for trading in both physical clean products and financial commodities in the domestic and international trading markets.

• Develop and implement trading strategies to optimize system supply and trading profits.
• Manage physical and financial positions for profit, focusing on supply portfolio and price exposure.
• Collaborate with commercial operations to manage physical inventories consistent with supply requirements and financial market structure.
• Negotiate contracts with third-party contacts and build relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Participate in setting strategic plans for the supply and trading team and provide leadership to other commercial functions.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or Engineering.
• 2-5 years of experience in the energy industry, with at least 2 years of prior trading experience in domestic physical clean products markets.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Prior trading experience in financial markets (futures, spreads, options, swaps, etc.).
• Physical clean products trading experience in Chicago, NYH, and/or USGC markets.
• Understanding of refined products logistics assets in the U.S. (pipelines/terminals).
• Experience using Right Angle.
