Key Responsibilities:- Provide perioperative care to surgical patients in recovery, procedure, and operating room settings.
- Stock and maintain operating room supplies, ensuring a sterile and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans for surgical patients, prioritizing their needs and well-being.
- Prepare patients for surgery by cleaning and disinfecting areas to be operated on, ensuring a safe and efficient process.
- Assist surgeons during surgical procedures, applying sterile techniques and maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Collaborate with surgical teams and other medical professionals to ensure seamless patient care and medication management.
- Update patient files and medical records, maintaining accurate and up-to-date information.
- Assist with the ordering, maintenance, and safe storage of surgical equipment and supplies, ensuring compliance with hospital policies.
- Provide patients with post-surgery care instructions and answer questions, promoting patient education and empowerment.
- 2+ years of Cardiac Surgery experience, with a focus on perioperative care.
- Comfortable circulating and/or scrubbing in surgical procedures.
- Level 1 trauma experience preferred, with a strong understanding of emergency situations.
- Certifications: BLS, RN MA License, ACLS, PALS.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including night shifts and weekends, with a minimum of 1 shift per week and 1 weekend per month.
- Previous travel experience, with a focus on Cardiac Surgery.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and communication.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities, with a focus on patient safety and well-being.
