At QBE Insurance Group Limited, we are seeking an experienced Investment Operations Analyst to join our team in New York. As a key member of our global trade operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of trades across all locations and time zones.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to work closely with our trading desks and external partners globally to ensure timely and efficient management of the trade life cycle. Your primary focus will be on supporting our global trading desks over the entire trade life cycle, providing effective day-to-day exception management, completion of reconciliations, security data management, and ensuring the timeliness of valuations.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with trade desks and external partners globally to ensure timely and efficient management of the trade life cycle.
  • Administer investment systems, focusing on functional correctness within systems to ensure all information is up-to-date, including security setup, integration flows, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure transactional activity and data are appropriately processed, recorded, and maintained in an accurate, efficient, timely, scalable, and controlled environment across all of QBE's investment portfolios and geographies.
  • Support internal and external audit processes to enable accurate and effective assessment of controls and activities.
  • Engage and collaborate with key stakeholders to determine key areas of improvement in existing processes.
  • Contribute to the effective day-to-day relationship management and oversight of external service providers, partners, and data vendors to ensure services of the highest standards are received by Group Investments.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an investment operations environment.
  • Very good knowledge of investment instruments (fixed income, equities, derivatives) for purposes of trade matching, settlement, and corporate actions. Experience with managed mandates preferred.
  • Hands-on knowledge of investment systems (BlackRock Aladdin, Simcorp Dimension Bloomberg, eFront, and CTM preferable).
Benefits:
  • An estimated annual salary range of $96,000-$144,000 depending on location.
