Vallen is seeking a skilled Assembler I to join our team. As an Assembler I, you will be responsible for performing highly detailed and technical assembly, drilling, cutting, wiring, testing, packaging, and labeling of electrical control panels and sub-assemblies.
Key Responsibilities:- Assemble electrical control panels and sub-assemblies with high precision and accuracy.
- Drill, cut, wire, test, package, and label components according to specifications.
- Collaborate with production supervisors and lead persons to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Identify and report part discrepancies, inventory shortages, and quality issues.
- Communicate with the Engineering Department regarding quality issues and machine malfunctions.
- Assist in training new associates and maintaining machines.
- Meet or exceed standard labor costs and productivity targets.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3-4 years of related experience and/or training.
- Previous electrical experience is required.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, including wiring diagrams and schematics.
- Basic safety knowledge and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Long and varied hours may be required.
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures and dusty conditions.
- Regularly lift and move heavy objects with assistance.
