Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Vascular Sonographer to join our team at the University of Maryland Medical System. As a Vascular Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing ultrasound and clinical evaluations in a vascular laboratory setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform clinical assessment and diagnostic vascular laboratory examinations, including duplex imaging and physiological examinations.
  • Select and operate complex ultrasound equipment, cameras, and recorders to capture high-quality images and data.
  • Accurately document and communicate test findings to healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Assume responsibility for patient safety and comfort, and prepare patients for examinations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure quality and continuity of patient care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound training program.
  • Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVT) certification by the ARDMS or RVS by the CCI.
  • 2 years of job experience and hospital experience preferred.
