Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Repair Technician to join our team at Shottenkirk Automotive. As a Smog Emissions Specialist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles to ensure they meet emissions standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Diagnose and repair all areas/systems of assigned vehicles
- Work with team members to accurately document recommendations, diagnoses, and repairs performed
- Stay up-to-date with manufacturer's updates and training
- Perform road tests and quality control of all work performed
- Responsible for keeping the shop area neat, and clean, and accounting for all dealership-owned tools at all times
- Valid California (CA) smog license
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
- Proficiency with tools and mechanical aptitude
- Possess ability to accurately diagnose mechanical automotive problems and make recommendations
- A good work ethic is a must
- Factory training, ASE certifications or prior dealership experience is a plus
- Must be able to keep up with a fast-paced environment
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and be a current resident
- Must pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, and drug screen
