We are seeking an experienced full-stack SAS software engineer to join our Enterprise Modernization team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Lean, Agile, and eXtreme Programming (XP) practices, as well as experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly BigQuery. The successful candidate will be responsible for converting SAS programs from mainframe and server to GCP for various application teams, as well as developing SAS programs in SAS Mainframe, SAS Linux, and SAS Viya (on GCP) platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Converting SAS programs from mainframe and server to GCP
  • Developing SAS programs in SAS Mainframe, SAS Linux, and SAS Viya (on GCP) platforms
  • Working in a collaborative environment that leverages paired programming
  • Collaborating with fellow software engineers, product owners, data champions, and other technical experts
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of professional development and administration experience
  • Experience in Google Cloud Platform (especially BigQuery)
  • SAS Viya 4.0 programming experience
  • SAS 9.4 programming experience on Linux and Mainframe platforms
  • Mainframe experience (JCL, COBOL, CA7, DB2)
  • Experience using Teradata
  • Experience writing Python and shell scripts on Linux
Education:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a closely related scientific field of study
