Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Imaging Specialist to join our team at Ascension. As a Medical Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining imaging equipment, preparing patients for exams, and producing high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, including computed tomography (CT) scanners, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machines, and other medical imaging devices.
  • Prepare patients for exams by explaining procedures, positioning patients, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes, using techniques such as computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and other medical imaging modalities.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical imaging technologies and techniques, and participate in ongoing education and training to maintain expertise.

Requirements

  • Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • NMTCB(CT) Computed Tomography Specialty Certification or ARRT(CT) Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography required in addition to CNMT Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentied from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
