Job Summary

As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in facilitating the functions of the department assigned or floated to. Your duties will include performing various tasks and responsibilities as described, acting as the department facilitator, and communicating with the public and various hospital departments, physicians, and nursing personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides basic nursing care that meets psychosocial needs and communication needs within the nursing assistant's scope of practice.
  • Serves as department receptionist, receiving and transmitting messages or inquiries to the appropriate destination.
  • Performs general administrative duties as required, including data input using EMR, staffing and charge capture systems, electronic bed board, charge entry, and charge reconciliation.
  • Ensures patient daily hygiene needs are met under the direction of the bedside RN.

Qualifications
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of a certified nursing assistant program.
  • Current unencumbered CNA certification.
  • Current BLS.
  • Basic computer and typing skills.
