DevSecOps Research Engineer

Job Overview:
The Pennsylvania State University is seeking a highly motivated and technically sound DevSecOps & CI/CD Research Engineer to join our Digital Engineering - West Department of the Communications, Information and Navigation Office (CINO) at the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL).
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement secure automation solutions for development, testing, and production environments.
- Manage continuous integration and delivery pipeline to maximize efficiency.
- Improve systems through updates and optimizations using various technologies.
- Present program overviews, proposals, and technical briefings at internal and external events.
- Coordinate with sponsors and team members to identify risks, issues, requirements, and design solutions for project-level activity on a day-to-day basis.
Requirements:
- Broad knowledge of CI/CD, DevSecOps, Cloud, and the ability to leverage that knowledge in technical implementation projects.
- A strong understanding of security concepts, best practices, and how to apply them, such as Secure Shell, public key encryption, access credentials, certificates, TLS, and data encryption to include Department of Defense and Intelligence Community security policies/processes.
- Skilled in Platform management e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, and micro services architecture.
