BIM Coordinator

This position requires a strong foundation in CAD skills, as well as excellent communication abilities to work effectively with the design team, including architects, customers, and vendors. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating shop drawings, spool sheets, and itemized reports for material purchasing.

1. Transform construction document designs into constructible shop drawings for field installation.
2. Collaborate with the project management team to meet project needs and ensure timely completion.
3. Stay up-to-date on industry standards and local codes to ensure compliance.
4. Utilize AutoCAD to create custom reports for material acquisition and optimize project efficiency.
5. Work closely with other department employees to provide a seamless transition between the design and construction phases of a project.
6. Flexibility to visit job sites to capture field conditions for use in the design phase of projects.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A.A.S. in Drafting and Design or greater.
• 2 years of experience in a construction trade.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Revit (optional).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with customers, support team members, and the general public.
• Understanding of and experience in implementing industry standards and local codes.
• Strong team-oriented skills.

The primary work environment is an air-conditioned office setting. On occasion, it may be required to work in non-air-conditioned spaces, roofs, ladders, vertical lifting equipment, and subject to all weather conditions.
