Nuclear Medicine Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Ascension Via Christi. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, providing high-quality images to radiologists and physicians for interpretation.
Key Responsibilities- Perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures using radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring accurate and timely results.
- Maintain and operate cameras that detect and map radioactive drugs in a patient's body to create diagnostic images.
- Position patients and select anatomic and technical factors accurately to ensure optimal image quality.
- Order, prepare, administer, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols and radiation safety guidelines.
- Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS, including accurate lead markers and patient data/history.
- Report potential problems or equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel and assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department.
- BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts within 3 months of hire date.
- One or more of the following certifications: Certified Nuclear Medical Tech (NMTCB) or Radiologic Technologist specializing in Nuclear Medicine (ARRT), within 3 months of hire date.
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
