The organization excels in the management and operation of utility systems, ensuring reliable and efficient delivery of critical services to its customers.


Key Responsibilities:
Conduct engineering assessments and analyses for various systems within the utility facilities.
Develop equipment strategies and identify high-risk components as part of effective asset management practices.

Perform evaluations of processes to assess system efficiencies and operational performance.

Design operations and maintenance projects, assist the Superintendent and Capital Programs Manager in formulating initiatives for the 5-Year Capital Plan, contribute to preliminary budgeting for these projects, and prioritize project timelines.

Oversee specific projects executed within the utility operations.

Support the Plant Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, Operations Supervisor, and Maintenance Leads in troubleshooting system issues and assist in the effective scheduling of maintenance work.

Execute engineering calculations related to steam, water, and air flows pertinent to equipment and processes.

Assist in the evaluation of technical drawings and specifications.
Conduct root cause analysis following equipment failures and provide recommendations to mitigate future occurrences.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline; preference for mechanical or electrical engineering.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Plant Engineer in a power generation facility, ideally within a coal-fired power plant.
Proficient understanding of mechanical systems in coal-fired power plants.
Familiarity with the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code is essential.
Strong written communication skills are required.
Ability to analyze plant systems and operations, providing insights for efficiency improvements.
Demonstrated initiative and capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
