About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Framing Team Member to join our team at Michaels Stores. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, creating memorable framing solutions, and maintaining a safe and clean store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
  • Execute Company policies and standards, including delivering sales and production results, completing framing orders with high quality and on time, and maintaining the ready-made frame department and other assigned areas.
  • Deliver friendly customer service, help customers shop and find what they are looking for, and provide a well-merchandised and in-stock store for customers to shop.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs, support shrink and safety programs, and interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner.
  • Participate in the truck un-load and stocking processes to ensure truck standards are followed and completed within budget.
  • Operate cash register and execute cash handling to standards, acknowledge customers, help locate product, and provide solutions.
  • Assist with Omni-channel processes and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Basic computer skills and basic measuring skills.
  • Ability to operate the framing equipment and glass cutter.
  • Preferred: retail experience, experience selling products and/or services to customers.
Work Environment

This role is based in a public retail store setting, with a climate-controlled environment. Some stock rooms may not be climate-controlled, and some outdoor work may be required. The Frame shop contains glass cutter and heat press, and work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
