We are seeking highly skilled individuals to become members of the U.S. Army's elite special forces team. As a Special Forces Candidate, you will undergo extensive mental and physical training to prepare for the challenges of this role.
The ideal candidate will be 17 to 34 years old, a U.S. citizen or permanent resident alien, and in good physical condition. You must also meet height/weight standards and have no felony-level offenses on your record. Additionally, you should not have any major medical procedures that would prohibit you from serving in the military.
As a member of the special forces, you will receive up to $20,000 in enlistment bonuses, as well as additional education benefits worth up to $115,000. You will also receive 30 days of vacation with pay per year and additional living expenses for those with dependents. Other benefits include clothing and food allowances, centrally located education and financial advisors, and travel opportunities.
In terms of education, the Post-9/11 GI Bill provides up to full college tuition, housing, and books. This program is paid directly to the school and covers up to full tuition for public, in-state schools and up to $25,000 per year at private or foreign schools. The Montgomery GI Bill – Active Duty uses a combination of your own paycheck contributions and government funding to help pay for education benefits for a maximum of 36 months. Benefit payments are made directly to you. Both programs cover online schooling, part-time schooling, entrepreneurship training, flight school, licensing and certification courses, vocational training, and tutorial assistance.
