About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Karate Instructor to join our team at the Greater Somerset County YMCA. As a Karate Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality karate instruction to children and teens, promoting physical activity, and fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver engaging and challenging karate lessons for children and teens of varying skill levels and ages.
• Develop and implement lesson plans that promote physical activity, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
• Provide feedback and guidance to participants to help them improve their karate skills and achieve their goals.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment, adhering to YMCA safety protocols and guidelines.
• Collaborate with other instructors and staff to ensure a cohesive and effective program.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience teaching karate or holding a first-degree black belt or higher.
• Experience working with children of various ages and skill levels.
• Ability to communicate effectively with participants, parents, and staff.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• First Aid, CPR, and AED certification.
