Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Director, Legal Counsel to join our US Market Operations legal team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing expert legal guidance to support the commercialization of new and innovative medicines.

Main Responsibilities

  • Commercial Agreements: Support Marketing and Sales with negotiation, drafting, and review of commercial agreements.
  • Legal Review: Responsible for legal review of scientific and commercial/marketing material for use in the US Market.
  • Medical Affairs: Support Medical Affairs with negotiation, drafting, and review of agreements (e.g., Advisory Boards) and provide legal review of scientific materials.
  • Market Access: Provide legal advice relating to patient support programs, draft/review applicable agreements, and advise on arrangements with various entities in the health care delivery system.
  • Healthcare Laws: Provide legal support and advice regarding healthcare laws, including anti-kickback statute and false claims matters.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • JD or LL.M. from an accredited law school with at least 3-8 years of relevant work experience in the life science industry or in a law firm servicing life science clients.
  • Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating relevant agreements.
  • Experience working with marketing, sales, market access, and/or medical organizations in the life sciences field.
  • Commercially-minded and solution-oriented with excellent verbal/written communication and negotiating skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in teams.

Salary and Benefits

The proposed salary band for this position is $165,000-$275,000 per year, depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Additionally, certain positions may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses.
