Position Overview

The Epic Systems Specialist will play a crucial role in the planning, analysis, application development, testing, maintenance, upgrades, configuration, and support of assigned Epic applications. This position demands effective communication and collaboration skills to work alongside various departments and end users, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough system analysis and application building for Epic systems.
  • Facilitate testing and maintenance of applications to ensure optimal performance.
  • Champion documentation, build, and testing standards within the team.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to address business needs and enhance user experience.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
  • A High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in information technology or a healthcare-related field is preferred.
  • Relevant experience in IT or healthcare, particularly with Epic EMR, is essential.

Role Levels

Placement will be determined based on experience:
  • Associate Epic Systems Specialist: Relevant IT or healthcare experience, preferably with previous Epic end-user experience.
  • Epic Systems Specialist: Minimum of 1 year of experience working with Epic.
  • Senior Epic Systems Specialist: 4 or more years of experience with Epic or 2 years in a certified Epic analyst role.

Additional Requirements

  • Must obtain Epic certification within a specified timeframe post-hire.
  • Experience in application building, troubleshooting, and design is strongly preferred.
  • Willingness to provide on-call support as required.
  • This position may offer hybrid work options depending on the candidate's location.
