Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join our Cardiothoracic ICU team at UPMC Central PA. As a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the Cardiothoracic ICU
  • Collaborate with the medical team to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Conduct daily rounds and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Manage patient medications, including vasoactive medications and ventilator settings
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety

Requirements:

  • Graduate of accredited CRNP program (must be certified in one of the following: ACNP, ACNPC-AG, or AGACNP) or accredited PA program
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in an inpatient or critical care setting
  • Ability to work autonomously and think critically
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
