Job Title: Senior Avionics Systems Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Avionics Systems Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our avionics department, you will be responsible for leading, supporting, and assisting technicians in performing avionics installations.

About the Role:

  • Provide work direction to technicians and ensure completion of tasks within the allotted time frame.
  • Coordinate with and assist other departments to ensure on-time delivery of aircraft.
  • Install, modify, and fabricate wiring and electrical components, fixtures, and associated equipment in accordance with blueprints, worksheets, and engineering drawings.
  • Train other team members in associated work assignments.
  • Contribute to the development of employees and techniques as a skilled specialist.
  • Complete work in innovative and effective ways.
  • Assist Engineering in resolving problems and making repairs per engineering direction.
  • Maintain required logs and records.
  • Ensure that work accomplished meets applicable regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
  • Enforce the company's FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program, and all safety regulations.
  • Check all work, including other team members, to ensure a defect-free assembly prior to final inspection.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Care for and maintain shop equipment and tools as assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Coordinate shift changes in team leaders' absence.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Assist and fill in for the team coordinator as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Two years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics and two years of related work experience, or four years of experience in an avionics/electronic career field.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams.

Estimated Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
